Registrants and education institutions can now access a new, more accessible online portal to manage registrations with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

The regulator has launched MyNMC - a more user-friendly version of NMC Online – as part of measures to modernise its processes and strengthen organisational infrastructure.

This upgrade includes improvements to all portals used by nursing and midwifery professionals and education institutions, including the Approved Education Institution (AEI) portal.

While many of the core processes will feel familiar, MyNMC introduces a number of improvements designed to make the system clearer, more accessible and more secure for everyone who uses it.

That includes more consistent navigation, thanks to the refreshed design and improved layout, making it easier to understand what to do at each stage.

To help ensure the platforms works well for a wide range of users, there are also other improvements such as better colour contrast and text readability – to make everyday tasks simpler and more inclusive.

Tom Moore, Chief Information Officer, said:

“MyNMC is designed to make key processes faster, simpler, and more accessible. The new platform will feel familiar, while offering improvements that simplify essential processes like revalidation and international registration.

“These upgrades are part of the NMC’s wider digital transformation. By modernising our technology, we are making it easier for professionals to engage with us and ensuring the public benefits from a more responsive and effective regulator.”
