Radiographers are being urged by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to complete their registration renewal before the fast‑approaching 28 February 2026 deadline. The regulator has issued email and text reminders, but stresses that receiving a reminder is not required to renew — all registrants can complete the process at any time through their online account.
HCPC emphasises that timely renewal is a professional responsibility. Those who fail to complete all steps — including declarations, equality monitoring questions and payment — risk being removed from the Register, meaning they cannot practise or use protected titles until they are readmitted.
The regulator has also published detailed guidance to help registrants navigate common issues, such as account activation problems, multi‑factor authentication difficulties and delays receiving verification emails. Support is available via the Registration team for anyone struggling to log in or complete the process.
Radiographers who no longer need to remain registered are advised that they can voluntarily remove their name from the Register through the HCPC’s deregistration process.
