The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) said it is reviewing certain qualifications after concerns were raised.

In a tweet, the HCPC said:

“We have undertaken a review of a qualification delivered outside the UK completed by a small number of paramedics who achieved HCPC registration via our international application route, after concerns were raised that the qualification may not satisfy all the requirements of our Standards of Proficiency for Paramedics.

“We have contacted each one of the affected paramedics and will be working closely with them on next steps.

“This review has no impact for any other HCPC registrants.”
