Following a review by the General Osteopathic Council, the policy on handling whistleblowing concerns, which has been in place since 2014, has been updated “to make it clearer” and now includes further information on the support available to whistleblowers.

The General Osteopathic Council said:

“The policy explains the types of osteopathy-related concerns that GOsC can consider and how to raise a concern with us.

“Further information has been added on the support available to whistleblowers, including from the Independent Support Service, a free service provided by GOsC and run independently and confidentially by the charity Victim Support.”
