GCC’s toolkit encourage recognitions individual needs of patients and adapting treatment to build trust and ensuring the delivery of high-quality treatment.
The toolkit, ‘Demonstrating professionalism through patient-centred care’, provides registrants with guidance and practical advice on taking a professional patient-centred approach to care to help improve the patient experience and enhance patient outcomes.
The General Chiropractic Council wrote on its website:
“Putting patients first is an important principle for chiropractic professionals, as outlined in the Code of Practice. Patient-centred care includes supporting patients taking an active role in their treatment and treating all patients respectfully and fairly.
“We recognise that registrants work hard to provide a high standard of safe and effective treatment for patients. To support this work the GCC has published ‘Demonstrating professionalism through patient-centred care’, the second in our series of guides focusing on professionalism in chiropractic.”
